Baan Landai Featured in a Japanese Guidebook

We are pleased to share that Baan Landai Fine Thai Cuisine (Old Town Branch) is featured in the 2026–27 Chiang Mai edition of Arukikata, one of Japan’s best-known guidebook series.

Known for introducing travellers to the character of destinations across Japan and abroad, Arukikata’s Chiang Mai edition highlights places that help visitors experience the charm of Northern Thailand more deeply. We are honoured that Baan Landai is included as part of that journey.

In the guidebook, our Old Town branch is presented as a calm and welcoming place to enjoy thoughtfully prepared Thai cuisine in the heart of Chiang Mai. The feature reflects what we have always aimed to offer: refined flavours, carefully selected ingredients, and a dining experience that feels both elegant and warm.

For us, this recognition is especially meaningful because it introduces Baan Landai to travellers discovering Chiang Mai through one of Japan’s most trusted guidebook names. Whether you are visiting the city for the first time or returning once again, we would be delighted to welcome you to our Old Town branch.

Baan Landai Mae Rim Featured in NOW Travel Asia

We are thrilled to share that our Mae Rim branch has been recognized by NOW Travel Asia for our dedication to "Contemporary Thai Dining with Thoughtful Precision."

In their recent feature, the magazine perfectly captured the heart of our culinary vision:

"BAAN Landai presents Thai cuisine through a modern lens while honoring the essence of traditional flavors and locally sourced ingredients. Each dish reflects a careful balance between taste, presentation, and atmosphere, served within an elegant colonial-style setting. It is an ideal destination for those seeking a fresh perspective on Thai cuisine—one that feels refined yet reassuringly familiar from the very first bite.

The menu ranges from Miang Kham wrapped in wild betel leaves and slow-braised pork ribs in red wine sauce, to ancient-style stir-fried noodles with crispy prawns and sauce, fermented fish from Phayao tossed with eggs, and classic Northern staples such as Nam Prik Ong, Tom Kha Gai, and shrimp paste stir-fried eggplant."

While it is a great privilege to be highlighted by a prominent regional publication alongside our consecutive MICHELIN Guide recognitions, our greatest reward remains serving you—our local community. We are incredibly proud to offer a dining experience that is sophisticated, yet warm and familiar.

Whether you are joining us for a family gathering or a special celebration, we look forward to welcoming you to our serene Mae Rim sanctuary.
